Elliott Davis, an assurance, tax, and consulting services firm, partnered with HITT to reconfigure its space on the third floor at 100 Calhoun Street. All construction was performed in an occupied space and was split into two 13-week phases, which included some off-hours work to minimize disruption to the tenants.
Located in an urban, extremely congested, downtown area, there was no laydown space for equipment. Our team adjusted by scheduling all deliveries to arrive in the early mornings and just-in-time for installation. Working with limited space, the only location for our dumpster was next to the bank drive-through, next door. Our team assembled a trash chute on the side of the building and built scaffolding on top of the drive-through, which allowed direct access to the dumpster without impacting our neighbors.
Throughout the space, there are many high-end finishes including wood paneling, custom upholstery, and maple butcher block table tops. Each breakout booth called for LED lighting inlays and fire sprinkler integration, which required infrastructure coordination with several trades. Through constant communication and heavy coordination, HITT delivered the project on time in six months.
