Overview

Derek has more than a decade of construction accounting experience, including five years with HITT. In his role, he oversees project accounting activities across a number of sectors and regional offices, as well as the accounting for HITT’s dedicated preconstruction and research and development (R&D) efforts. His strategic financial insight and commitment to accuracy ensure sound financial statements while staying ahead of industry trends and regulations. Before joining HITT, Derek served as CFO for a life sciences construction company, guiding it through significant growth. His background with subcontractors specializing in wall paneling and data center construction has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Passionate about mentorship, Derek finds the most fulfillment in seeing his team members grow and thrive.
