Overview

Dustin has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry. With more than 12 years on the team at HITT, Dustin worked his way up through many site operations roles and was most recently promoted to vice president of site operations in the Charleston office in 2021. Dustin Rakestraw plays a key role in corporate site operations and provides on-site supervision of team members, planning, scheduling, and quality control. He is responsible for subcontractor performance and implementation of HITT’s safety program. Dustin provides strategy, constructability, and logistics solutions, ensuring work complies with contract documents. In his role as vice president, he provides leadership to improve relationships with new and existing clients and subcontractors. He also applies project collaboration tools such as Procore and building information modeling (BIM) to ensure quality control and further drive timely delivery of construction progress.
