Overview

Joseph Cornwell, Jr. brings more than 30 years of construction experience, 17 years of which have been with HITT Contracting. He began his career the day he graduated from high school as a laborer and has ascended through roles such as equipment operator, field engineer, and site superintendent before being promoted to his current role of vice president of site operations. Joseph serves as the principal on-site HITT representative for his projects, providing on-site supervision of team members, planning, scheduling, and quality control. He is responsible for subcontractor performance and implementation of HITT's safety program as well as strategy, constructability, and logistics solutions, ensuring work complies with contract documents and providing overall guidance and supervision to project teams. Joseph’s passion for the construction industry is driven by solving challenges daily on-site and the relationships he has developed with other team members, trade partners, and clients while working toward the same goals.
