Mark Dumas joined HITT as vice president of safety in 2019, bringing with him more than three decades of construction industry experience. Overseeing all aspects of HITT's award-winning safety program, Mark ensures our operations are compliant in every jurisdiction where we work. That includes managing the welfare of all HITT team members and any of the 5,000+ subcontractors that may be on our jobsites at any given time.
Along with his team of full-time safety managers, Mark not only ensures the safety of our team members and subcontractors, but also that of anyone else that could be affected by our projects. He implements and adheres to policies and procedures that protect both our team members and the general public, never compromising his standards or their welfare.
Prior to joining HITT, Mark spent his entire career with one of the largest construction companies in the world and most recently served as national vice president of environmental, health, and safety. In addition to leading sustained cultural change in diverse and global markets, and providing strategic direction for Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Systems (SHEMS) management, Mark championed an incident- and injury-free culture that greatly improved safety performance and increased leadership engagement across the business enterprise.
