HITT Expanding Mission Critical Services in the Southeast

Workplace interiors has long been one of HITT’s strongest market sectors in the Southeast, and the firm is now expanding to meet the demands of the growing technology market.

Falls Church, Virginia, July 1, 2020 – HITT Contracting Inc., one of the largest general contractors in the U.S., announced today the expansion of its services to now include mission-critical, power-intensive data storage facilities in the Southeast region. The company is making a decisive move to develop and invest in a team solely dedicated to serving the data center market. The expansion comes at a crucial time to meet the growing demands of its technology clients and strengthen national partnerships.

“We’re confident that now is the time to expand our Atlanta office and Southeast operations by delivering multiple verticals modeled on the company’s success of our headquarters operations,” says Executive Vice President Ryan Bixler. “The mission critical team will be our first dedicated group in the vertical growth and expansion plans for 2020 and beyond. We will build upon the firms’ expertise in the Technology sector nationwide to ensure our mission critical clients can achieve their goals in the Southeast, in addition to major markets such as Northern Virginia, Santa Clara, and Dallas.”

HITT began delivering mission critical construction in 2005 and has delivered more than 18 million square feet of mission critical work and 700 MW commissioned nationwide. Ranked the 6th largest data center building by Building Design + Construction magazine, HITT builds hundreds of critical facilities across the US each year.

As the Southeast continues to grow in the national landscape of data centers, HITT’s strategy will focus on providing an expert team that understands the unique demands of delivering business critical IT, communications, and data storage facilities.

“We anticipate serving both existing national clients and new partners from our Atlanta location,” says Bixler. “We are a top four interior commercial contractor in Atlanta and are excited to parlay our client service into the data center market sector.” HITT will continue to serve its workplace interiors clients in this market and has promoted Erik Kandler to Senior Vice President and leader of its corporate interiors team.

“We’re fortunate to have such incredible client partners who have allowed us to grow over the past 15 years when we started building data centers in Northern Virginia,” says Vice President Ross Rebraca. “Our business model has always centered around growing with our clients and having the right resources in place to serve their needs on a national scale.  Establishing our mission critical team in Atlanta, where we have strong relationships with the subcontractor community, reflects us taking that next step.”

The key to our success and approach has always been offering the same service and quality, regardless of the size and scope of the project. “As a large contractor, we’re unique in that we are nimble enough to provide lifecycle construction services from very small to very large projects.” notes Bixler. “HITT offers our clients a single solution, whether the client needs simple service work or large projects in excess of $100 million. We believe no matter the size of the project, our clients should be able to depend on our service and dedication across the country.”
