Lowcountry, High Quality

Laying a Foundation in the Lowcountry

Modern etiquette dictates that the appropriate 20th anniversary gift is platinum; if you go the traditional route, you’re looking at china. Unfortunately neither of these options seems appropriate to celebrate the relationship we’ve built with Charleston over the last two decades. We think the best gift to mark this occasion is the promise of continued presence and service to our clients in the Holy City.

Our roots in Charleston were planted in 1997 with our work at the Naval Weapons Station. We’ve expanded our services in Charleston considerably since then, tackling hospitality, education, corporate office, and industrial projects. To accommodate this client-driven growth, our team has expanded, too.

HITT’s first large project was a $20 million contract to build the Addlestone Library at The College of Charleston. In the early 2000s, notable projects included the Fort Sumter Tour Boat Facility and Aviation Business Park.

In the mid-2000s, our reputation and relationships in the defense and manufacturing sector led us to opportunities with several recognizable clients including both Daimler and General Dynamics (formerly Force Protection).

By 2010, we had completed work on military bases throughout the region, constructing and renovating facilities to include dormitories, squadron operations centers, and aircraft maintenance facilities.

Just as Charleston has grown from a sleepy Southern gem of a town to a world-class destination, HITT, too, has grown. This city is home for us; we’re not going anywhere.
