The city is home to more than 3,000 energy-related establishments, including many of the top oil and gas exploration and production firms. This 13,500-sf multi-phased project was for an Austin-based oil and gas exploration and production data analytics company. The new space required a high energy and open work environment for their sales team, as well as an elegant visitor center that included board rooms and a training center to accommodate high profile clients in the Houston area. The main goal for the client was to properly brand their space with brand colors, subsurface technology maps, and portions of their logo. One of the key features of this renovation included a custom millwork company logo mounted behind the reception desk. Our team worked with the architect to coordinate and ensure all custom elements of the project satisfied the design intent. This project presented many challenges that required a collaborative team effort. One of the biggest challenges was the tight 13-week schedule. Our team provided extensive coordination with the city to ensure the project met all requirements, even overcoming a schedule crunch that took our 13-week schedule to 5-weeks of permitting and 8-weeks of construction.
