Fairfax CASA launches a new playhouse campaign to raise awareness and support for abused and neglected children in Fairfax County, Virginia
FAIRFAX, Va. (December 15, 2025) – Fairfax CASA is proud to announce the launch of its first Little Houses, Big Dreams campaign, presented by founding sponsor HITT Contracting, a leading general contractor headquartered in Fairfax County. In April 2026, during Child Abuse Prevention Month, a custom-built and thoughtfully designed playhouse will be displayed in a high-foot-traffic location in Northern Virginia. At the conclusion of the campaign, the playhouse will be raffled to the public, with all proceeds supporting Fairfax CASA child advocacy efforts.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of a critical issue affecting children across Fairfax County. Each year, more than 100 children enter the child welfare system due to abuse and neglect. The children served by Fairfax CASA have often experienced trauma, including domestic violence, mental health challenges within the home, or sexual abuse.
“As a company rooted in Northern Virginia, we feel a deep connection to the families and children in our community,” said Kim Roy, CEO of HITT Contracting. “Partnering with Fairfax CASA through the HITT Contracting Foundation is one way we can give back and help create a safe, healthy environment for our youngest residents.”
The campaign’s playhouse will be designed, custom-built, and donated by HITT. Throughout April, community members will have the opportunity to visit the playhouse display and learn more about the important work of Fairfax CASA. The raffle will open on April 1, 2026, and close on April 25, 2026, with the winner announced at the culminating event that same day. “We are deeply grateful to HITT for partnering with us in our inaugural Little Houses, Big Dreams event,” shared Darcy Hubbard, Executive Director of Fairfax CASA. “Their belief in Fairfax CASA’s mission—and in the power of local company partnerships—demonstrates a true commitment to the children and families of our community. The wonderful team at HITT recognized the value of our work and stepped forward to help fuel a fundraiser that is vital to sustaining our advocacy for the most vulnerable children in Fairfax County. With their support, we can continue providing life-changing services made possible only through donations, events, and grants.”
Little Houses, Big Dreams reflects Fairfax CASA’s commitment to ensuring every child in the child welfare system is seen, heard, and supported. CASA volunteers advocate for the child’s best interest in and out of court, helping them move toward safety, stability, and a loving, permanent home.
ABOUT FAIRFAX CASAFairfax County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc (CASA) is a nonprofit agency committed to providing a dedicated volunteer advocate (a CASA), to every child with an open child abuse case before Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
